Rajkummar Rao Takes A Dig At Bollywood ‘No-Brainers’ At The Song Launch Of Behen Hogi Teri

After giving a hard-hitting performance in Trapped, versatile actor Rajkummar Rao is all set to make the audience laugh with his upcoming film Behen Hogi Teri
that also star the gorgeous diva Shruti Haasan.

The duo launched the song, 'Tera Hoke Rahoon' from their film last evening. While Rajkummar spoke about theromantic ballad sung beautifully by Arijit Singh, the actor also took a dig at all the comical films being made by renowned directors which can easily fall under the category of ‘no-brainers’.

Mocking the films, he said "I'm one of those actors who sign films after I read the script and Behen Hogi Teri script was quite different- it was funny and quite relatable. It's not one of those comedy films in which we say that ‘apna Dimaag ghar par rakhkar aiye, ap apna dimaag please laiye’ because it's a sensible film. You would be able to relate with the characters and thus it's more human- the only kind of comedy that I think people like to watch."

The actor also spoke about having a great time in breaking a leg with Shruti Haasan on the classic remake of Jaanu Meri Jaan, one of the super hit songs of the ‘90s era. Talking about the same he said, "I thoroughly enjoyed the experience as it was the first time I had got the opportunity to dance and that too with Shruti, so we had a lot of fun."

Besides this film, Rajkummar also spoke elaborately about his eye-grabbing look in Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon-starrer Raabta. He said, "My look has got an overwhelming response and reaction from people. Dheenu and Homie are my good friends. So, when they asked me to do a special appearance in the film, I enquired about the character and then they showed me some for reference look and I was dam excited as I had never gotten the chance to do something like this. Also, such a role wouldn't be offered to me easily and actors don't get to have such a distinctive look, which required an extensive research. It took 6 hours of prosthetic make-up everyday for a period of 8-10days. It was quite tough and quite painful in the actual experience, but now that I look at the reaction of the people, I think it was all worth it."
